thank you for answer,

i dont think that will work, since windows reserves ram for its own use, hence there are only bootable cd's with ram testers.

using up 100% ram will not cause bosd tho, its the read/write speeds that generate errors. not files being held in ram.

by the way, i have googled it a bit.. i found no way of filling ram (no stress testers or something) in windows, only other bootable cd's that stress ram.

ok,
thank you very much for your help, I googled it too, and I didn't find such tester...
But Memtest gives me 6500 errors, all between 2000 and 4000 Mega, when I test all my 4 modules; however, when tested separately, I don't have any error, neither if I test 2 or 3modules together...
problems only occur when I test 4 modules in dual channel...

Hi!!

I found what I looked for: LinX
this software will stress your cpu and ram, at their maximum level:

isnt that just a linpack test?

LinX - une simple interface graphique pour le Benchmark Intel ® Linpack.

anyway, yeah those errors between 2 and 4 gb.. could be the 3.5gb border that 32bit ram takes it.. i think you have a bios option for memory hole for that reason.. you could try turning that off(or on)and running memtest again..

again, like Tetedeiench says very often, linpack is nice.. it will heat up your cpu like crazy.. but it is not very good at error detection. for me ill stick with and trust the memtest thingy.. but each his own
